Grading and Assessment
In grades K-2, students perform a self-assessment. Upon leaving physical education class each day students are prompted to touch one of the following signs posted on the wall on their way out.
Students in grades 3-5 are graded on the following criteria
•Personal and social responsibility of students in physical education class
•Performance of physical skills by students K•n
owledge and strategy of the activity
Grading Comments
• On your child's report card you may find the following comments
• Student actively participates in and contributes to the class.
• Student needs to improve his/her active participation and contribution to class.
• Student shows respect for and cooperates with others.
• Student needs to increase his/her respect for and cooperation with others.
• Student exhibits good effort and a positive attitude during class.
• Student needs to improve his/her attitude and exhibit more effort during class.
• Student shows respect for the classroom environment and the equipment.
• Student needs to show more respect for the classroom environment and the equipment.
